Richard Webster to become new CEO for ENGIE Fabricom UK
Following a highly successful interim assignment as Chief Executive Officer with ENGIE Fabricom (part of the global energy group ENGIE), Mr Wichard Huigen is moving on to new ventures in continental Europe.
ENGIE Fabricom, a multidiscipline engineering consultancy and construction company, based on the Europarc, Grimsby provides comprehensive engineering design and project management services including EPC/EPCm style delivery to the Oil, Gas, Power, Chemical, Energy from Waste and Renewables industries.
During his tenure Wichard has seen a near tripling of the turnover, a return to healthy profitability, and a strong order book.
Wichard’s role will be replaced by Richard Webster who has held a number of senior roles and is currently their Chief Operations Officer.
Richard comments: “I am passionate about the Company and its people and I want to reinforce the cultural change and growth Wichard has achieved in his short time in the UK. I also want to ensure that all our people aim for operational excellence, abiding by our core values and ensure our clients view us as their Partner of Choice.”
Wichard added: “Yes it has been a pleasure serving the ENGIE Fabricom organisation for the last year and a half. As a team we have taken the next steps in our evolution and established a unique position between the large engineering companies and the focused construction management companies in the UK. I am really proud of the team that achieved a great output in 2017, supporting other ENGIE entities abroad as well (e.g. our team in Alberta, Canada).
Personally, I have enjoyed the UK. I have learned a lot from the British, like their polite style and humour and yes, enjoyed the food!
Having worked closely with Richard on a daily basis I am convinced Richard Webster is the right man to take ENGIE Fabricom UK to future growth. He has the experience, the support from the team and the drive to do so and he is the logical successor.
I wish Richard and his team the best of luck.”
