Global Wind Service to install Siemens turbines at Katoen Natie in Antwerp port, Belgium

26th September 2017

GWS (2)During summer, Global Wind Service (GWS) was awarded the installation and craning of the 6 SGRE 3MW turbines at Katoen Natie in Belgium. Main installation begins at the start of October and preparations on site have already begun.

The 19.2 MW wind farm will be installed on the premises of transport company Katoen Natie in the Antwerp’s port area. The turbines will be installed between the buildings making space very limited. This means that our high level of HSEQ and detailed planning is integral.

“We are pleased to build on our good relationship with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy, continuing the framework agreement we have in place,” said Wilko Baring, Sales Manager at GWS.
